MELTWATER ENTREPRENEURIAL SCHOOL OF TECHNOLOGY (MEST) AFRICA’S PAN AFRICAN ENTREPRENEURIAL TRAINING PROGRAM 2020/2021 (FULLY FUNDED)
The MEST Training Program is a 12-month, full time, fully sponsored program in which the cohort – known as Entrepreneurs-in-Training (EITs) – complete a graduate-level course in software development, business and communications, with a focus on practical implementation.
The MEST program provides rigorous entrepreneurial training and extensive hands-on project work, designed to ensure EITs master industry-proven methodologies for developing startups. This coursework is supplemented by sector speaks and a series of guest lectures, bringing in the experiences and insights of internationally-recognized executives and successful entrepreneurs.
The course culminates in an investor pitch and the chance to receive seed funding and enter the MEST incubator.
Application Requirements
We're looking for business-oriented applicants who are interested in learning how to start a software company. While it's not a requirement to have a previous coding experience, a strong interest in learning about technology is a must. We’ve designed the MEST programme to give you the business, communications and technical skills you’ll need to start and scale a successful company.

THE NIGERIAN CONSERVATION FOUNDATION

The Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) with support from Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) offers research grants to Nigerian citizens wishing to undertake research work in fields related to nature conservation and sustainable livelihood. The grant shall be to support a PhD programme. This year’s theme is “Human-Wildlife Conflict“.
Requirements:
Candidates must be Nigerian citizens.
Candidates must have M.Sc. Degree or equivalent qualification in Biological Sciences, Social Sciences or Law (Environmental Law/Protection) but related to environmental resources management.
Candidates must have secured admission into a Nigerian university towards a PhD degree in any of the fields stated in No. 2 above.
Candidates must develop acceptable research proposals that meet NCF’s vision and mission.
Proposals must be in line with the theme.
A progress report (on letter headed paper) from the applicant’s Project Supervisor(s) stating how far he or she has gone in his or her research work and his/her role in the initial review, as well as the relevance to the objectives of the grant, is a very essential condition for considering any application. Please note that a reference letter is an equivalent of a Progress Report from the Supervisors(s).
200-word justification, with relevance to natural and environmental resource management and biodiversity conservation.
A 3,000-word justification proposal to be submitted should reflect the Title, Introduction/Statement of Problem, Objectives, Methodology and Expected Output, etc.
