TECHNOVATION CHALLENGE 2020 FOR GIRLS WORLDWIDE ($10,000 PRIZE & FUNDED TRIP TO SAN FRANCISCO, USA)

Every year, Technovation invites teams of girls from all over the world to learn and apply the skills needed to solve real-world problems through technology.
Technovation Girls is a free technology-based program for girls ages 10 – 18.
Working in teams (of 1 to 5), girls find a problem in their community and build a mobile app to help solve it. Along the way, they develop their collaboration, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Technovation Girls will take 30+ hours to complete (we recommend allocated about 12 weeks to finish) and is completely free.
Eligibility
Any girl or young woman (ages 10-18) interested in Technovation Girls are eligible to compete.
To join the competition, a girl must create or join a team on our online platform, have a parent/guardian sign the consent form and meet the following Student Participation criteria:
All students must be between the ages of 10 to 18 as of August 1, 2020.
All students must identify as female. No males can enter the competition.
Teams are composed of 1 to 5 students. Students can only join one team.
Competition Divisions are based on the age of the oldest student on the team.
Students can participate in Technovation Girls for multiple seasons until they reach the age of 18
Students can work with the same team members and mentors, but they cannot submit the materials to competition over multiple years.
Teams can explore the same problem, but the app prototype must be different each year.

WEST AFRICA CIVIL SOCIETY INSTITUTE (WACSI) 2020 NEXT GENERATION INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME – ACCRA, GHANA.

The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) is a regional non-governmental organisation dedicated to enhancing the capacities of civil society organisations in West Africa toward greater sustainability and operational and development effectiveness.
The programme primarily targets young West Africans, either fresh graduates or early career professionals, seeking work experience in WACSI’s core areas of work. Interns are expected to commit to WACSI for six months during which time they will be fully involved in all WACSI activities and enhance their knowledge and capacities for leadership, knowledge and programme management, and critical development issues for West Africa, among other areas.
The Core areas of Work are:
Capacity Development, Policy Influencing and Advocacy and Knowledge Management.
Relevant skills:
Minimum of a first degree in international affairs, political science, public policy, law, development studies or related fields.
Interest in civil society and non-profit organisation management.
Commitment to WACSI’s vision values and demonstrated an interest in civil society.
Strong research, writing and communication (verbal and written) skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong Internet research skills.
Bilingual skills (French and English).
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Works well under pressure with minimal supervision and in a multi-cultural environment.
Proactive, willing to learn and take initiative.
Works well as part of a team.

Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) Limited as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program offers Nigerian students in Nigerian Polytechnics opportunity to gain one year Industrial Training experience(from January to December 2020).
Only Polytechnic Students who have authorization from their schools to participate in the program and who have completed their National Diploma Studies in 2019in the following courses are eligible to apply:
